Manchester City manager, Manuel Pellegrini has hailed Nigeria youth international after his impressive display for the Citizens in their 5-1 Capital One Cup win over Crystal Palace.
Iheanacho scored one and assisted two other goals to send the only remaining London based team out of the League Cup.
The 19-year-old last month scored a 90th minute winner for City against Palace last month and Pellegrini has revealed that he never doubted the forward.
“I didn’t have doubts about him,” Pellegrini told Daily Mail
“I see how he works every day. He’s a very good player and not just a finisher because he assisted on two goals.
“In this moment it’s very important for the team to have Kelechi and Bony. Sergio is injured and they can play together as they did tonight.
