Arsenal, City win while United are held by Crystal Palace

Wayne RooneyManchester City held off a stubborn Norwich to a 2-1 win at the Etihad Stadium to remain on top of the English Premier League.
After last week's goalless draw against rivals Manchester United, City were looking to go back to winning ways as they welcomed Norwich.
They found it hard to break the opposition defence and it took 67 minutes before they broke the deadlock

Summer signing fro Valencia Nicolas Otamendi opened the scoring for City headed Kevin De Bruyne's corner into the net.
City were pegged back by Cameron Jerome after capitalising on a Joe Hart howler to level for Norwich with just five minutes to play.

Hart came out to catch a simple cross from Robbie Brady to spilled it for Jerome to tap into an empty net.
The golekeeper's blushes were spared when Russell Martin to handled Raheem Sterling in the 18-year-box to concede a penalty.
Martin was sent off and Yaya Toure converted the penalty in the 89th minute to hand City the winner.

That Toure's penalty kept City in top of the EPL table ahead of Arsenal who would have been at the  summit

Olivier Giroud
In the second half, Arsenal opened scoring through Olivier Giroud who evaded several markers to head in a Mesut Ozil cross.
Arsenal doubled their lead through defender Laurent Koscielny after a mistake by Swansea goalkeeper Lucas Fabianski.

The former Arsenal goalkeeper came out to catch a high ball but couldn't get it, allowing Koscielny to turn and tap into the net.
Arsenal got their third through Joel Campbell who raced to an Ozil pass to score on his first league start for Arsenal.
In other game, United could only manage a goalless draw against Crystal Palace.
