In Kwara- Health educationist wanted for conducting surgery

A fake doctor nabbed by the men of the Nigerian Police
A doctorate degree holder in Human Kinetics and Health Education, Dr. Olaitan Lanre, has been declared wanted by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria for illegally establishing and operating a 24-hour hospital, Springsway Hospital in Oko Erin area of Kwara State.
According to a report by Punch Metro, a raid was carried out on the hospital in Ilorin, Kwara State following a tip off that was gotten by the medical association.
The report further revealed that during the raid, many documents and a medical certificate believed to have been stolen from their owners were found in the hospital, which was deserted.
Punch also reports that owners of the medical certificate and licence used to operate the hospital have denied knowing Dr. Lanre, who is currently at large.
The Head of Inspectorate, MDCN, Dr. Okwuokenye Henry, who was in Ilorin on the instruction of the council’s registrar, Dr. Abdulmumini Ibrahim, said the council got a report that Dr. Lanre had been illegally carrying out surgery and fertility operations on patients in the clinic which operates 24 hours services.
While the MDCN had ordered for the closure of the facility, pending the resolution of the matter, Dr. Henry noted that the raid was to prevent the fake doctor from endangering the lives of unsuspecting patients.
