21 homosexuals arrested in Asaba by the police


Police men in Asaba, Delta State, have arrested 21 students who are allegedly homosexuals.
According to Punch, a reliable source said that two state-owned polytechnics (names withheld) where the suspects were arrested, were popular with homosexual activities for financial gains.
 
Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mrs. Celestina Kalu, confirmed the arrest of the suspects.
She said:
“We had it on good authority that the male students allegedly engaged in anal sex. The suspects, upon interrogation, made useful statements to the police while investigations are ongoing.”

PDP Chieftain and chairman of Daar Communications owners of AIT, says that the former ruling party erred by fielding former president Goodluck Jonathan as their presidential candidate during the last election. Dokpesi reportedly said this during a media chat with some newsmen in Abuja yesterday November 10th. He said the party made the first mistake when it failed to retain the party’s 2011 presidential ticket in the North after the death of former President Umaru Yar ‘Adua.

Heartless thief steals laptop containing priceless photos during the funeral of 6-year-old boy.


A thief stole a laptop during the funeral service of six-year-old TJ Martin at Pentecostal City Church in Kesal Green on November 2. The laptop contains precious photos of the young boy who died tragically and has caused huge upset for the entire family. 

Nigerian man shoots female US Judge


A Nigerian man named  Chimene Onyeri, 28, has been arrested in connection with the shooting of a Texas state judge, Julie Kocurek. He was a defendant the judge was prosecuting at the time of the shooting. Chimene was in the process of being prosecuted by Kocurek in a fraud case from 2012, when she was shot in the driveway of her Austin home on Friday night. She didn't die but an 'extremely serious injury'...

He will now be questioned about the shooting as he is indicted for a theft in Louisiana. Kocurek had been receiving threats after presiding over controversial cases. 

She was taken to hospital in a serious condition on Friday and has since been upgraded to a stable condition. Police said her injuries are not believed to be life threatening and refused to comment further on the arrest.

Woman sentenced to jail for kicking and stomping her husband to death


Le Thi Thuy was today Tuesday, November 10, sentenced to seven and a half years in jail by a court in Ha Tinh Province, Vietnam, for kicking and stomping her husband to death. The 40-year-old, who cried through out the trial admitted during her testimony to the violent act that claimed her husband's life. According to the indictment, Thuy suspected that her ailing husband Vo Hong Son had stolen VND10,000 (US$0.45), which was half of her daily income, to buy some wine on July 1.

Teacher fired for refusing to address a 6 year old girl as transgender boy


A federal discrimination complaint has been filed on behalf of a Katy-area educator who says she was wrongly terminated for refusing to address a 6-year-old girl as a transgender boy, the teacher's attorneys said Tuesday.

Madeline Kirksey, of Houston, who worked at the Children's Lighthouse Learning Center location on Clay Road,  was fired Nov. 3 after she would not agree to treat the child as a male and call the child by a new male name, according to a copy of the filing with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Policeman found dead in his car

The Lagos State Police Command on Tuesday confirmed the death of a policeman who was found dead in his Volkswagen car in Ikeja.
Empty cans of pesticide and some medication, suspected to have been taken by the deceased, were reportedly found inside the car.

Four diplomats injured in Abuja road crash today


According to the News Agency of Nigeria, Four diplomatic corps officers from the Ethiopian Embassy were involved in an accident on Independence Avenue in the Central Business District in Abuja today.
